African Law Clerk wins international award

Emily Kinama, a clerk at the Supreme Court of Kenya, represented Africa in a worldwide 3-week program of coursework and hands-on learning for law students and legal practitioners held at the University of Lucerne Faculty of Law in Switzerland. Emily won the prize for best overall participant for 2016. Her prizes, including an internship opportunity with a Geneva based NGO, were awarded to her by retired Justice Johann van der Westhuizen of the South African Constitutional Court. Emily served as a law clerk at the Constitutional Court in Braamfontein, Johannesburg from January to June 2015 as part of the Law Clerk Exchange program being administered by the Concourt Trust. The Trustees congratulate Emily on her achievement.
