The Constitutional Court Trust is registered as an Independent Trust with the Master of the Supreme Court of South Africa (Trust no.3836/95), as a Non Profit Organisation with the Department of Social Development (number 004-997 NPO), and a Public Benefit Organisation with the South African Revenue Service. 

Trustees are typically senior members of the legal profession including both past and serving judges of the Constitutional Court, senior practising lawyers and senior legal academics.

The Trust employs a Manager, Administrator, Financial Officer, all on a part time basis, as well as curatorial staff to work on the Constitutional Court Art Collection.  The Manager reports to the Board of Trustees and operationally to the Chairman and one or more of the Trustees on site. 

For compliance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), 2000, and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013, one of the trustees is appointed as the Information Officer and the Trust Manager serves as the Deputy Information Officer. A copy of the organisation's PAIA and POPIA manual outlining  the type of records and personal information the CCT holds, and explaining how to submit requests for access to these records, is available upon request by emailing DIO@concourttrust.org.za

The Trust operates its current account at Investec Bank.
