Farewell to Ms. Catherine Kennedy

The Constitutional Court Trust bids farewell to Ms. Catherine Kennedy. Ms. Kennedy is leaving the Constitutional Court Trust on 31 August 2026 to pursue her PhD after working for the Trust as a Manager for eight years (8 years). 

Ms. Kennedy holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from UCT, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, and a Certificate in Introduction to Law for Non-Lawyers. 

Ms. Kennedy has worked as a Director and Manager for various organizations such as the UN in Iraq, SAHA, Imperial College in London, and has also taught English in Taiwan for Chinese-speaking children.

During her time at the Constitutional Court Trust, Ms. Kennedy played an important role in developing and strengthening the organisation through stakeholder engagement, fundraising and partnerships. Working alongside different curatorial teams over the years, she contributed to putting systems in place to support the management, documentation and preservation of the Constitutional Court Art Collection, while ensuring continuity through periods of transition.      

Ms. Kennedy also strengthened the Trust’s relationships with international universities, fostering partnerships that created opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange and fellowship programmes.      

Ms. Kennedy’s impact on the Trust has been widely felt. She will be greatly missed for her efficiency, expertise, institutional knowledge and commitment. We wish her every success as she embarks on this next chapter of her academic journey.
